Andaira

Andaira is a Spanish nonprofit cooperative established in Madrid in 2005 as an organization for the social inclusion of people, particularly women, migrants and youth. It is active in several fields like research and social intervention. It is working with local governments and organizations of the civil society on the promotion of citizenship rights, through the education and the awareness of different groups of population.

Andaira also works to create supportive and inclusive economic structures and to improve the quality of life and a sustainable development. From this approach, we implement initiatives for the promotion of the social economy and collective entrepreneurship through training and counseling self employment projects, sustainable local development and research, on new more ethical and socially responsible economic relations.

We are working together with local governments and civil society organizations on the promotion of new forms of economy through the development of social research projects and participatory processes. For this reason we are participating in several European and local networks like the Network of Economy and Social Networking Alternative (REAS) composed by more than 100 social organizations, or Tangente Cooperative Network, joined by more 20 entities working on the field of social economy.
